The group is staffed entirely by volunteers, and new volunteers are most welcome.  Volunteers collect and clean all the seed and prepare it for sale to South Gippsland Seedbank.

As a volunteer you can learn as you go. The protocols for seed collection are explained and volunteers are given both the information and the opportunity to  view the whole process required for the  collection, cleaning and storage of seed.

The time commitment of each volunteer can vary according to their availability. Our busiest season is over the summer period when most of the seed is ready to be collected, dried and cleaned.
